Spencer Wells[1] (born April 6, ) is an American geneticist, anthropologist, author and entrepreneur.
He co-hosts The Insight podcast with Razib Khan. Wells led The Genographic Project from to , as an Explorer-in-Residence at the National Geographic Society, and is the founder and executive director of personal genomics nonprofit The Insitome Institute.
